Services Available

The Gestalt Therapy Institute offers a variety of services for people seeking psychotherapy, as well as the mental health professional seeking clinical supervision, mentoring, or in depth professional training in the theory and application of Gestalt therapy.

Individual Psychotherapy:
sessions can be scheduled with our faculty, daytime or evening, in either our Manhattan or Scarsdale location.
Marital/ Couple Psychotherapy:
the theoretical underpinnings of Gestalt Therapy, with their emphasis on contact and dialogue, are particularly suited to working within the intimate dyad.
Group Psychotherapy:

sessions emphasize the interactions within the group, with focus on both the group’s dynamics, as well as on the individual’s utilization of his/her capacities to manage intimacy, conflict, disclosure, and to both give and receive support.

Clinical Supervision:
Faculty are available to work with therapists who are seeking supervision on their clinical work either in private practice or in agency settings. Emphasis is placed on working from a Gestalt theoretical frame, helping the clinician to develop her/his skills in relation to their learning needs, strengths, and personal style.
Professional Training:
On-going professional training in Gestalt theory and practice is available for mental health professionals who are seeking a more in-depth mastery of the theory and practice of Gestalt therapy. Training consists of readings and lectures on aspects of Gestalt theory and its underpinnings, instruction on Gestalt therapeutic techniques and applications, demonstrations of Gestalt sessions, supervised practicum sessions, as well as on-going clinical supervision.
Mentorship:
Mentorship involves an elaboration on clinical supervision, including greater focus on theoretical understanding as well as focus on other areas of professional development.
